Post 15: Location Scouting / Ricerca Della Location

There are many beautiful locations around Turin to have a photo shoot, but one of my favorites is at La Mandria. (As you many have noticed if you’ve been following my blog.) This large park is full of greenery and a wide variety of spots to shoot in!

A Torino ci sono tanti luoghi bellissimi per un servizio fotografico, ma uno dei miei preferiti è La Mandria (come avrete notato se avete seguito il mio blog). È un grande parco naturale con molto verde e una grande varietà di sfondi!

The landscape changes a lot during the spring, so in this case I went out to do some location scouting. When possible location scouting is a must, just finding a spot on ‘google maps’ could land a photographer in a heap of trouble if there happens to be construction where you wanted to shoot.

Il paesaggio cambia molto durante la primavera, così sono andata alla ricerca della location ideale. E’ molto importante individuare in anticipo la giusta location, quando possibile: non basta limitarsi a trovare un luogo adatto su 'Google Maps', potrebbe per esempio essere stato aperto un cantiere proprio dove si pensava di effettuare gli scatti, costringendovi a cercare un’alternativa.

In this case I went a couple days before to check out the location and was lucky enough to find their wisteria in full bloom! :)

In questo caso sono andata un paio di giorni prima per controllare la location e ho avuto la fortuna di trovare quei bellissimi glicini fioriti! :)

It's just so pretty I couldn't resister sharing a couple extra photographs! :)
