Post 35: The Torino Photo Marathon 2015
Sunday I participated in the “Torino Photo Marathon” an event lasting 9+ hours within the confines of the city. Throughout the day we were given themes to photograph, 3 new themes every 3 hours! If 9 hours seems like a long time I can assure you that it flew by! I wanted to share with you all some of my favorite photographs from the day, ones that I LOVE but were not entered in the competition.

Domenica ho partecipato al “Torino Photo Marathon”, un evento durato oltre 9 ore che si è svolto all’interno dei confini della città.
Durante la giornata sono stati comunicati i diversi temi per la realizzazione degli scatti, 3 nuovi temi ogni 3 ore! Se 9 ore sembrano tante posso assicurare che sono volate! Volevo condividere con voi alcune tra le immagini della giornata che preferisco, quelle che AMO e che non hanno partecipato alla competizione.

The day started off at 08:00 with me forgetting my registration papers at home and having to run off the bus and hope on another to pick them up! After my hectic morning I received my official photo marathon t-shirt and the race against time began! 1400 people participated in the event and the first 1000 received bright blue t-shirts! So there we were 1000 bright blue photographers running around in downtown Torino.

La giornata è iniziata alle 8:00 e poiché ho dimenticato a casa i documenti per la registrazione sono dovuta scendere di corsa dal pullman e aspettarne un altro dopo averli recuperati! Dopo una mattinata iniziata in modo caotico, ho ricevuto la mia t-shirt ufficiale “Foto Marathon” ed è partita la corsa contro il tempo! All’evento hanno partecipato 1400 persone e solo le prime 1000 hanno ricevuto la maglietta! Così in quella giornata 1000 fotografi con una t-shirt azzurra hanno percorso in lungo e in largo le vie del centro di Torino.
We filled bars and local businesses, we swarmed busses and crosswalks, we chased families, couples, cats and dogs around the city in our hunt for the perfect photograph for each theme. It was a long day and by the end my feet were killing me, but it was also a relaxing, fun and thought-provoking experience! :)

Abbiamo riempito i bar e i negozi, affollato i pullman, inseguito famiglie, coppie, cani e gatti in giro per la città alla ricerca della fotografia perfetta per ciascun tema. E’ stata una lunga giornata e quando è finita i miei piedi erano doloranti, ma è anche stata un’esperienza rilassante, divertente e creativa! :)
