Post 36: Black A Colour Story - September

"A Color Story" is a collaboration project involving photographers from around the world. Each month we search for a different colour, photograph it and turn it into a collage.

“Storia di Colori” è un progetto in collaborazione che coinvolge fotografi di tutto il mondo. Ogni mese viene definito un colore differente che diventa la base delle foto da realizzare per comporre un collage.

Black:

Black is the result of the absence of, or complete absorption of light. It is literally a colour without colour or hue.

It was one of the first colours used in Neolithic cave paintings. In the 14th century it was worn primarily by royalty, clergy, and government officials. Black became a high fashion colour in the 20th century with the introduction of the “little black dress”.

Today it is a colour frequently used in positions of power such as law and authority figures. In many countries it is worn by judges and police. It is also the most common colour for limousines and official government vehicles.

Charcoal black was/ is commonly used in artist sketches and designs, and in most cases you must use a black ink pen to fill out any important documents.

Black is often associated with death, evil, magic, secrets, individuality, simplicity, elegance and beauty.

Nero:

Il Nero è il risultato dell’assenza o del completo assorbimento della luce. E’ letteralmente un colore senza colore e tonalità.

E’ stato uno dei primi colori usati nelle pitture rupestri del Neolitico. Nel XIV secolo era indossato soprattutto da reali, clero e ufficiali governativi. Il nero diventò un colore di alta moda nel XX secolo con l’introduzione del “little black dress”.

Oggi è un colore usato di frequente da chi ricopre cariche importanti e di potere. In molti paesi è indossato da giudici e forze dell’ordine.

I carboncini neri erano e sono ancora oggi usati dagli artisti nella realizzazione delle bozze e nella progettazione, e solitamente si deve utilizzare una penna con inchiostro nero nella compilazione di documenti importanti.

Il nero è spesso associato a morte, male, magia, segreti, individualità, semplicità, eleganza e bellezza.
